Patanjali Yoga Faculty and Mumbai Mahila Patanjali Yoga Samiti organized Yoga Science Camp. The camp was held last Friday in Highland area of Thane. The meeting was attended by several important personalities including Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, MP Shrikant Shinde, son of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Yoga was followed by a conference. As the conference took place after the yoga, the women participating in the yoga were struggling to change their clothes. They are sitting with some kind of embarrassment.
Noticing this, Ramdev said, “There is no problem, you can go home and tie the saree.” Women look beautiful in sarees. “Women look beautiful in salwar,” he said. There is no problem with this. “In my eyes, they look good wearing nothing,” he said.
The Chief Minister’s son and Deputy Chief Minister’s wife also took part in this event and sat next to them when they were on the stage. In my view, they said that they are beautiful even if they don’t wear anything.
Baba Ramdev expressed his regret for his speech and apologized for his speech even as there was strong opposition among women. Maharashtra State Women’s Commission President Rupali Sahankar Ramdev condemned the speech and issued a notice to give an explanation within the next 72 hours.

So let me make it clear that I have no intention of insulting women. I am sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings. He replied that he apologizes unconditionally for this.
