A major disaster was avoided: a driver and her four daughters climbed onto a bomb placed on the road – only by a miracle did it not explode

by time news

A major disaster was averted today (Monday) in Binyamin. Batia Karo, who was returning from the settlement of Adi Ad towards her home, noticed while driving an object thrown on the axle on the Alon road, near the Malachi HaShalom intersection. The driver tried to avoid hitting him but accidentally ran over him with the wheel of the car.

Beitia Karo, whose four daughters were with her in the car, looked in the mirror and saw a flashing red light from the direction of the object, which raised her suspicion that it was a bomb.

Our forces that arrived at the scene confirmed that it was a pipe bomb that miraculously did not explode. Following the incident, until the charge was neutralized, the road was blocked to traffic for about two hours in both directions between the Gideon intersection and the Kochav HaShahar quarries.

The terrorists who placed the bomb fled the scene.

It should be noted that this is the second cargo placed on Alon Road in only ten days. The terrorists who planted a bomb about a week and a half ago apparently came back today and planted another one after not being caught the last time.

Residents from the area organized a spontaneous protest on the spot and called on more residents to come: “We are not waiting for the funerals! Everyone is coming to the Malachi HaShalom intersection now.” The residents announced that in the coming days an array of volunteers would be established to patrol along the road with the aim of restoring security and demanding that the IDF act deep in the village and quell the growing terrorism in the area.

Beitia Karo told News 0404: “A hallucination, a hallucination! I’m walking back home and notice something thrown on the road in front of the angels of peace, I say to myself: strange. Someone must have fallen out of the car. I don’t pay attention, I step on it with the wheel, I feel something hard and prominent, I look in the mirror And you notice that there is a flashing red light from it.

Suddenly I realize that it’s a cargo and it’s gas of life.. I start shouting “Amal’a I stepped on a cargo! Hallucination I stepped on a cargo!” It should be noted that my four daughters were in the car with me. The older one understood the situation and was really scared. A jeep came in front of me, I stopped on the side and honked my horn at him like crazy, I described the incident to him and he flew there, and then a group of soldiers from the medical center came in front of me towards the intersection. I shouted to them that there was a different direction and that there was a bomb at the intersection. I called the center to report and from there I continued home. Explosive material. I had a crazy miracle… The realization that it could have ended differently frustrates me. Our lives are precious and we demand security!”.
