Leboncoin, Airbnb, OuiCar… How seniors can benefit from the collaborative economy

by time news

People over 65 are increasingly using the Internet in their daily lives. But these “silver surfers” remain hesitant when it comes to selling or renting out some of their properties via a collaborative platform. Thus, according to a survey carried out last year by the CSA institute for Silver Alliance, the federation of companies for aging well at home, only 15% of people aged 65 and over have already sold second-hand products (on Leboncoin by example), 9% are users of paid accommodation between individuals (Airbnb, Abritel, etc.) and 3% of car rental between individuals (OuiCar, Getaround).
