Even though it is a mere colloquialism that living together brings a lot of benefits, in the current modern age, people are living here and there, surrounded by friendship. Even though the elderly want to live together with their children, they are in a position to be separated due to many reasons including work environment. As a result, sick parents and elderly people are left alone in many places.
In such a situation, more than 20 people built a 7-foot old man’s house with bamboo and carried it for ale to settle the helpless old man close to his children’s house, and the villagers encouraged them to cooperate with them, in Zamboanga del Norte in the Philippines.
A related video has been shared on UNILAD’s Instagram page. In it, the townspeople carry away the old man’s house and the villagers give way to them and cheer. Stopping every ten minutes, the old man was settled in a house near his children’s residence in two hours.

Speaking about this, one of the villagers said, “There is no one to take care of the old man. His wife is also dead. So the children of the old man wanted to keep him near their house and take care of him. But both parties’ houses are in different directions and the old man’s house is very heavy, so it was difficult for them to carry it.
So the villagers volunteered to move the house together. Everyone was very tired after bringing the old man home, so the old man’s family threw a feast for everyone,” the Instagram post said. Almost 1.9 lakh people have liked the video and more than 25 lakh people have seen it.
