Driving test will fail; UK driving examiners to go on strike

by time news

London – Driving examiners at 250 centers in the UK will go on strike. Members of the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union are on strike from December 13 to January 16. With this, the practical tests conducted to get a driving license in the UK will be stopped.

The PCS union, which represents workers in a number of government departments, is on strike demanding a 10% pay rise, better pensions, job security and cuts to redundancy terms. At the same time, the government said that the union’s demands could not be met.

The strike will include NHS nurses, postal workers, railway workers and a section of teachers. While the various unions are announcing that the strike of the employees demanding a salary increase is due to the unaffordable cost of living, the government, which is facing financial crisis, is of the position that the salary increase is not possible in the current situation.
