The American tourism magazine “Conde Nast Traveler” published last night the list of 23 recommended destinations for 2023. Among the destinations, Israel also made the list when the magazine recommended the Galilee as one of the 23 recommended destinations.

“For decades, food and wine lovers from Tel Aviv have been making the trip north to the Galilee region, where the landscape opens up to green hills and valleys. For the locals, this fertile corner full of fruit, organic dairies and family-run wineries has long been considered Israel’s Tuscany. And now, tourists are also discovering the abundance of the area: a host of new boutique hotels have opened in the past year,” it said.

In its recommendations, the magazine also mentioned the city of Tiberias. “The largest city in the Galilee is also expected to undergo a facelift with a new boardwalk along the same beaches where it is said that Jesus walked on water – and new direct flights to Israel from Atlanta and Miami will make access in 2023 easier than ever,” it said.

Along with the Galilee, the magazine’s list also included its neighbor to the south – Egypt. “A time full of hope is unfolding in Egypt after a decade of upheavals that precipitated the Arab Spring,” it said. It was also noted that the Great Egyptian Museum in Giza, which may be the largest archaeological museum in the world, is expected to open soon.

In addition, the magazine also recommended Auckland in New Zealand, the province of British Columbia in Canada, the Central Coast region in California, Kenya, the Loire Valley in France, Marrakesh in Morocco, Leeds in Portugal, the city of Memphis in Shelby County in Tennessee in the United States, Mendoza in Argentina, Mustang in Naples, the town of Oyantaytambo in southern Peru , Queensland in Australia, Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, Srinagar in India, Taiwan, Turks and Caicos Islands, Vienna in Austria, Wales, Western Japan, the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and Zamora in Spain.
