Apple’s 2013 and 2014 iMacs are now outdated, and the Apple Watch Series 2 is marked Vintage

Apple today updated its list of many obsolete and obsolete products from 2013 and 2014 to designate iMac obsolete models. These Macs were previously listed as antiques, but are now considered obsolete and not eligible for repair.

Older Macs include the 21.5- and 27-inch iMacs in late 2013, the 21.5-inch iMac in mid-2014, and the 27-inch Retina 5K ‘iMac’ in late 2014. Apple states that products become obsolete seven years after they were last sold. All hardware services for old products will be discontinued, and service providers will not be able to order spare parts for old devices. 2013 and 2014 iMacs can no longer be repaired with Apple components.

Apple today still brand the Apple Watch Series 2 as vintage. The list of obsolete products includes devices that Apple stopped distributing for sale five and seven years ago. Apple will provide service and parts for older devices for up to 7 years, or as required by law, but only if parts are available.

Both the original Apple Watch and the Apple Watch Series 2 are considered older, with the Series 2 released in 2016.
