The world of cinema is making a gesture for Ukraine. A sale of items related to films or movie stars is taking place this Thursday evening in Paris, on the initiative of director Michel Hazanavicius. All profits will be donated to associations and structures helping Ukraine and its reconstruction. Among them, the Ukrainian government platform United24, as it announces on its Twitter account.

Named “Cinema for Ukraine”, it brings together 47 lots, each priced at 500 euros. Due to the charitable nature of the sale, the auction house Artcurial will not take a commission, she specifies.

Three Caesars for sale

On the program, unique pieces linked to the greatest French and international films. Clothing and accessories such as the dress worn by Bérénice Bejo in “The Artist”, Omar Sy’s sneakers in “Lupin” or Jean Dujardin’s watch in “OSS 117” are on sale. International stars like Tom Hanks, Natalie Portman or Pedro Almodovar have also donated lots.

On the side of the objects, are in particular for sale the helmet of one of Daft Punk, worn in the video announcing the separation of the group, or the personal vanity of Catherine Deneuve, but also three César, awarded to Michel Hazanavicius , Michel Ocelot and Jacques Audiard.

Television aficionados will finally be able to bid on the original buzzers from the first season of the show “Burger Quiz”, autographed by Alain Chabat, while Asterix fans will try to acquire the shield of Abraracourcix used in the last installment. “Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Kingdom”, which will be released in 2023.
