Madrid:
A letter bomb sent to threaten important leaders in Spain has caused a sensation. The first letter bomb was sent to the Prime Minister’s Office on 24th of last month. Since then 4 bombs have been sent yesterday and today. They were all disabled. Security has been increased for public sector offices.
Meanwhile, a letter bomb that arrived at the Embassy of Ukraine in the capital Madrid yesterday. A mailman was injured. Following the bomb blast, officials rushed to the spot and conducted an investigation. Also, police security has been increased at the embassy. A detailed investigation is being conducted in this regard.
In this case, a suspicious bag was found at the US Embassy in Madrid. After this, the police brought the entire area under their control and conducted a search. This caused a stir there.
Other explosives hidden in postal parcels were sent to Spain’s Ministry of Defense, an EU satellite center in Spain and an arms factory that made grenades sent to Ukraine, police said.
