1. Diamond Beach
I live a few minutes’ drive from the Sea of Galilee and I spend a lot of time there in all months of the year. Whether it’s on the sap, swimming or just walking on the beach. My favorite place in the Sea of Galilee is Diamond Beach. A kind of nature reserve among the neat beaches of the East Kinneret. The surface there changes every year according to the amount of rain that fell, but you always find a quiet corner between the trees and the water.
2. Moroccan fantasy
A store that imports home and garden products from Morocco and is located at the entrance to Kibbutz Mahaniim. From the huge hangar full of goodies. Very beautiful things and excellent atmosphere. Esteri, the owner of the house, created an impressive collection of items there, many of which she designed. It’s always fun to wander there.
3. Nino coffee cart
For the past two years we have been enjoying a coffee cart that opened in Moshav Ma’ale Gamla. Open every Friday and Saturday in an uncompromising location in front of an amazing view. Great coffee and pastries and most importantly: there is also a vegan option.
4. Vintage Bon Bon
A small deviation from the area where I live. I’m sending you to the flea market in Haifa (and for the Tel Avivites the whole north is pretty much the same), but to a very specific place where: Bon Bon Vintage Shop. A place of antiques, vintage furniture and many other things. In addition to that, there is a bar with some of the best coffee you’ve had in Israel, light alcohol and more. But the most important thing is Muni, the owner, who makes the whole thing an experience. recommended. Kibbutz Galvoit 28 Haifa
5. The generator pub
The community pub of Ma’ale Gamla. It is located inside an old building that used to house a huge generator and hence its name. A place full of atmosphere. A wonderful yard. Cheap booze and 90s music. From time to time there are also equal performances. What more is needed than that? is nothing.
