CHENNAI: The officials of the enforcement department have arrested the principals of financial institutions and their accomplice who defrauded investors of 108 crore rupees.

A financial company called ‘Bluemax Capital Solutions’ was functioning with its headquarters at Palayamgottai, Tirunelveli district. It had branch offices at various places.

Arvind, Gopalakrishnan and Bharatraj, who ran the company, advertised high interest rates to investors.

Those who believed in this and invested, were scammed by saying, ‘Our company’s bank accounts have been ‘hacked’ and 108 crores of rupees have been stolen by mysterious persons.’

In this regard, investors complained in Madurai and other cities. The police have registered a case and are investigating.

In this case, the officials of the enforcement department inquired about Arvind and others investing money in foreign countries and engaging in foreign exchange fraud.

It was revealed that they were involved in foreign exchange fraud by illegally investing the amount received from investors in ‘crypto currency’ and in countries including Canada, Hong Kong, Britain and Dubai.

For this, they found the help of Amarnathan from Tuticorin. Madurai Zonal Enforcement Department officials arrested all four of them yesterday.
