Kochi> At the 80th anniversary celebration of Desabhimani, Prof. MK Sanu and Desabhimani former general editor K Mohanan were honored. Industries Minister P Rajeev Ponnadayan gave the gift at the Cultural Conference held at the Ernakulam Durbar Hall Grounds.
Sanumaster ended his speech by calling it an old man’s speech, but P. Rajeev said the words contained the ideas and energy of a young man. The Minister also said that K Mohanan’s hands were the strength of Deshabhimani newspaper, which had been strong for a long time, but during the emergency situation full of crises, Deshabhimani newspaper was moved forward. P. Rajeev also spoke about his experience of taking charge as Resident Editor at Desabhimani while K Mohanan was General Editor.
MK Sanu said that patriotism is the biggest help in the struggle for social change. Dr. Sunil P Ilaidam, S Sharma, Balachandran Chullikad, S Satish, Siju Whitson and Deshabhimani General Manager Siju Whitson participated in the celebration.
