The mother of Amar Mofleh, the terrorist from Hawara, cries over her son’s death and recalls: “I asked him where he was going, he refused to answer me. I did not expect this to happen.” The terrorist’s brother said: “His dream has always been to be a martyr. We were prisoners together in 2014. He was released and arrested again.”

The mother of Amar Mufleh, the terrorist who carried out a stabbing attack and an attempted armed robbery in Hawara on Friday, says: “I asked him where he was going, he refused to answer me. I did not expect this to happen. He is my life, one of a kind, I did everything for him. I cannot live without him”. The terrorist’s father said: “My son was not armed. He did not have a knife, weapon or any means of attack. They (the soldiers) are the ones who attacked him,” as reported in ‘Khan Haode’.

The terrorist’s brother praised his actions and said: “His dream has always been to be a martyr. We were prisoners together in 2014. He was released and arrested again. There were clashes yesterday and he was wounded by a shot in the leg. All he wanted was to be a martyr, the praise is easy.”

The spokesman for Hamas, Abdellatif al-Kanou, commented on the incident in Hawara in which a terrorist who stabbed a policeman was killed on Friday at the beginning of Shabbat, and says that this is a “heinous Zionist crime committed by the occupation soldiers who executed a young man in cold blood, it reflects the aggressive and fascist behavior of the occupation.” Al-Kano’a also said that “the escalation in the crimes of the Zionist occupation will be met with acts of resistance and the enemy will pay the price for his crimes.” Al-Kano’a also said that “this crime should cause all international organizations and UN institutions to prosecute the occupation and pursue its leadership and soldiers and bring them to the International Court of Justice”, in the words of the message as quoted on the ‘Kan Palestinians’ Telegram channel.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry also condemns the assassination of the terrorist and calls it “the heinous crime of the execution of Amar Mufleh which stems from Israel’s escape from punishment.” The message states that this is a “crime against humanity and the result of the directives of the political echelon that make it easier for the soldiers to use live fire in order to kill the Palestinians.” It was also reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs holds the Israeli government “directly responsible for the crime that proves once again its plans to escalate the situation and expand the circle of killings.” The ministry also demands that the UN Security Council stop acting with double standards in its attitude to international issues and bear responsibility for the crimes experienced by the Palestinian people, according to the statement.

The spokesman for the Islamic Jihad in the West Bank, Tarek Ezz ad-Din, says that “the scene of the cold-blooded execution of the martyr Amar Mufleh before the eyes of the whole world is a war crime in its entirety that proves once again the dimensions of the crimes committed by the Zionist occupation forces against our people.”

Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Kassem, tweeted on his Twitter account and commented on yesterday’s stabbing attack in the Hawara area: “A Zionist criminal killed a defenseless Palestinian youth near Nablus in front of the whole world, who protects the Palestinian people from the crimes of the Zionists? Who protects the world from the danger of Zionism? The solution is armed resistance, and there is no other solution than liberation and protection.”
