Samsung is developing a 2.5 billion times stronger fingerprint for Galaxy devices

extend / A recent report revealed that the South Korean company, Samsung, is working to increase the strength of biometric security based on fingerprints in its smart devices.

To this end, the company will use a small scanner that can read one fingerprint at a time, making the entire OLED screen capable of scanning multiple fingerprints at once.

This was confirmed by Dietre Mai, CEO of ISORG, a French company that makes fingerprint sensors for smartphones, during a recent interview.

The official revealed that this technology may be ready for Samsung to integrate it into OLED screens in just two years.

Samsung announced that it is developing an “All-in-One” fingerprint sensor solution for next-generation OLED 2.0 displays, at the IMID conference a few months ago.

This technology will allow Galaxy smartphones and tablets to read multiple fingerprints simultaneously through their OLED screens.

Samsung says that using 3 fingerprints at a time for authentication is 2.5 billion times more secure than using just one fingerprint.

And users of future Galaxy devices will no longer have to worry about placing their fingerprints in the right place on the screen.

And with OLED 2.0, and the upcoming All-in-One fingerprint scanning solution, the entire screen can act as a fingerprint scanner.

Samsung did not reveal exactly when this technology will be ready for its Galaxy devices, according to the “Sam Mobile” website, which is concerned with the news of the Korean company.

In contrast, ISORG has confirmed that its OPD (Organic Photo Diode) multi-fingerprint scanning technology is ready.

The company said Samsung will likely use similar materials and processes for its All-in-One fingerprint scanner for OLED 2.0 technology.

ISORG CEO expects Samsung to launch multi-fingerprint scanning technology in 2025, when the technology will become the de facto standard for security.

At the same time, it is not clear whether the American company Apple will adopt this technology, given that Apple relied on Face ID instead of the fingerprint.

Samsung is expected to be the first company to introduce multi-fingerprint scanning and become the leader in this particular field.
