Traffic was affected on Sunday after a tree fell on Palayamkota North Mettu Thital Road.
It has been raining continuously for the last 3 days in Tirunelveli and Palayamgottai area. There was light rain from Sunday morning and heavy rain in the evening.
Palayangottai Mattut Thital Road, Taniyar College Girls Hostel Complex, an ancient wagai tree has fallen on the rooted road. As 2 power poles were broken, there was a power outage in the area. For more than 3 hours, the traffic on the North Mettuthidal Road has been affected, and vehicles are taking an alternate route.
The soldiers led by informed fire station officer Raja went there and removed the tree. Also, the power board is engaged in repairing the poles.
