Mumbai: Akluj police have registered a case in the case of twin sisters marrying a young man who was a childhood friend. The marriage was with the consent of the family. But now a case has been registered after a complaint was lodged with the police against the marriage by a man named Rahul Phule from Malewadi. A case has been registered under Section 494 of the Indian Penal Code for polygamy.

IT in Mumbai Engineers Rinki and Pinki married their childhood friend Atul Uttam Awthade. Atul works in the tourism industry. All three are natives of Solapur. The wedding ceremony took place at Akluj in Solapur district. Its footage was circulated on social media.

Rinki and Pinky have known Atul since childhood. Both were in love with Atul. It was Atul who rushed the young women’s sick father to the hospital. Atul also took his twin sisters for treatment when they fell ill after their father’s death. The three became close during this journey. Both the young women were in a situation where Atul could not be separated. Then both of them announced the marriage at home.

At first the family said that they can give permission for one’s marriage. But both did not agree. Then they agreed to marry Atul together. Rinky and Pinky are identical twins. Both studied, grew up and worked together. The reason for the decision was that if you marry someone, you don’t have to divorce.
