President Yitzhak Herzog landed this morning, Sunday, December 4, in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as part of his first state visit to Bahrain.
The President was greeted by an honor guard led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abd al-Latif al-Ziyani.
At the beginning of their meeting, the President said: “My visit here in Bahrain brings a message of peace, affection and friendship from the people of Israel to the Bahraini people and His Majesty.”
You yourself, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed the Abraham Accords, which are a huge contribution to peace and prosperity in the Middle East and a historic step in itself.
I think what we are doing today is another historic step towards upgrading our relationship and bringing friendship and partnership in many other areas.
I am sure that this visit will greatly improve the cooperation between our nations, and the entire region, thank you very much.’
