CHENNAI: Gold prices rose by Rs 232 per Savaran yesterday. This has shocked jewelery buyers. Gold prices have seen ups and downs for the past few months. Sometimes there was a dramatic rise and at the same time a dramatic fall. On the 2nd, the price of gold experienced a drastic increase. A sawan was sold at Rs 40,160, an increase of Rs 520 per sawan on the day. At the same time, after many months, the price of gold once again crossed Rs.40 thousand. And the price of gold rose to Rs.832 per sawan only for 3 days in a row.

The constant rise in the price of gold has left jewelery buyers in a bit of a shock. On the 3rd, gold prices fell to nominal levels. A gram fell by Rs 4 to Rs 5,016 and a sawan fell by Rs 32 to Rs 40,128 a gram. The day before yesterday (Sunday) was a holiday for the gold market. So, it was sold on Sunday at the same price as Saturday. Gold market started yesterday after a day off. The price of gold increased. Yesterday alone, gold prices rose by Rs 29 per gram to Rs 5,045 per gram and rose by Rs 232 to Rs 40,360 per gram. The rise in gold prices has shocked jewelery buyers.
