Tehran: People are struggling to live under the extreme Islamic regime in Iran. The government killed around 500 people here in one year. This is the highest figure in five years. This information was released by the Iran Human Rights Organization based in Norway.

Four more people were hanged the other day on charges of spying for Israel. Hussain Ordukhanzadeh, Shahin Imani Mahmudabad, Milad Ashrafi Atbatan and Manocher Bejandi were executed. There are seven accused in the case. The report cited the Islamic Republic’s judiciary as saying that three others were sentenced to 5-10 years in prison.

Expressing their opposition to the cruel and inhumane death penalty, Iranian human rights groups said the death penalty for prisoners accused of security-related offenses violated international human rights laws.

These individuals were sentenced to death without due process or a fair trial, and the sentences of the Revolutionary Court had no legal validity. Human Rights Director Mahmoud Amiri Moghaddam said the executions were carried out to create social fear and divert public attention from the Islamic Republic’s intelligence failures.

Last year, 333 people were killed in the country. No one was publicly hanged in 2021. Iran’s government enforces punishments according to Sharia law.
