The publications against the prosecutor in the Netanyahu files: The Legal Adviser to the Government submitted to the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court a request for an order to prevent threatening harassment against the famous right-wing activist Rahamim Ben Yehuda, in relation to the Deputy State Attorney for Economic Enforcement, Adv. Regarding her son.

The court in Tel Aviv responded to the request of the ombudsman and ordered that until a different decision is made, Ben Yehuda will be prohibited from contacting Ben-Ari and her family members, by himself or through others on his behalf, directly and indirectly, and from harassing them in any way.

In the request, which was submitted through Attorney Nir Gancharsky of the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office, the court was asked to order Ben Yehuda to refrain from publishing any publication on social media concerning Attorney Ben-Ari’s son and to remove any threatening publication. The court was also requested to order him to stay away from Ben-Ari and her family members.

The ombudsman clarified that the filing of the request was intended to act as a buffer against any attempt to terrorize, sow fear and prevent public servants from fulfilling their duties faithfully, for the sake of the public and for its benefit, and of course to protect public servants from suffering harassment, intimidation, etc.

Ben Yehuda, it was claimed by the prosecutor, published a video on a social network concerning Ben-Ari and her family members, in which he expresses himself in a violent, blunt, threatening tone, while addressing the things directly to Ben-Ari and her son. And all with the aim of disturbing the rest of Ben-Ari and her son, terrorizing them and harming their peace of mind.

In the request that the ombudsman submitted to the court, the legal advisor to the government stated that a harassment prevention order had already been issued against Rami Ben Yehuda in the past, after he harassed the wife of Knesset member Ze’ev Elkin.

As mentioned, the court responded to the prosecutor’s request and issued the requested order against the right-wing activist while noting that “issuing the order is not intended to express an opinion about the respondent”.
