LONDON: Britain’s most dreaded winter is set to intensify this week as the cost of living rises amid the financial crisis, the Met Office says. Winter will usher in the Scottish Highlands on Wednesday with snow blanketing them.
Temperatures will start to drop in the UK over the coming days. Between December 10th and 15th, a severe winter will set in across Britain. Meteorologists say that the Christmas period will be mostly covered in snow.
There were earlier warnings that this winter would be harsher than previous years.
