“Roll the dice”, this is the title of the fifteenth edition of the ‘Living room’, the annual event on technology and its surroundings promoted by Mix- Milan Internet eXchange to be held on November 29 in Milan in phygital mode, i.e. with participants in presence, even if in reduced numbers compared to past years due to the Covid-19 emergency, or connected remotely. This is the appointment awaited by Tlc operators in Italy which to date sees the participation of over 170 companies, and will be an opportunity for “discussion on digital issues” aiming at “promoting networking opportunities” and interaction between the participants.
The day will open with greetings from Alessandro Talotta, president of Mix, which will be followed by a panel with the participation of various institutional exponents and important figures in the economic and technological panorama, moderated by Enrico Pagliarini, journalist of Radio24. In the afternoon, on the other hand, there will be three technical in-depth sessions on “Routing and Network Security ‘,“ National Cloud ”and“ Live Content Delivery ”organized by volunteer experts. The three themes – and this is the novelty of Salotto 2021 – were chosen through a survey launched in June among the members of the Mix community who were also asked to apply to collaborate in the organization. The three sessions will be attended by well-known international experts including Marco Aldinucci – full professor of the University of Turin, Vittorio Trecordi of the Milan Polytechnic, Gaurab Raj Upadhaya – Head of Global Video Delivery Amazon Prime Video, Kotikalapudi Sriram – Senior Engineer Us Nist. Participants will be able to vote for their favorite session and, as always, ask questions and interact with the experts.
During the ‘Salotto’ there will be one-to-one meetings with the opportunity to meet the other participants live or to set up a video call through the Swapcard platform. At the end of the works, a pleasant surprise not only for those who will be in attendance but also for those who will follow the event remotely: the show cooking of the Cerea brothers of the three-star Michelin restaurant “Da Vittorio”, who will show how to prepare a perfect risotto Milanese style.
