Unfathomable story: A toddler about 3 years old was forgotten inside a kindergarten in the city of Safed. This was discovered by passers-by who happened to pass by on the street near the kindergarten, from where the toddler’s cries were heard. The same people broke into the daycare center and rescued the toddler safe and sound.
Today in the afternoon, a report was received at the 100 hotline of the Israel Police about crying sounds coming from a garden in the city of Safed after hours. When the police arrived at the scene, it became clear that a toddler had been forgotten inside the kindergarten and had been rescued by passers-by. The officers from the Northern District calmed down the upset boy, took him to the police station and contacted his parents. The police opened a criminal investigation against the daycare staff on suspicion of negligence on their part.
About a month ago: toddlers were hospitalized after detergent was found in a bottle
Less than a month ago, the Kfar Saba police opened an investigation after a report of two two-year-old babies who were transferred to the Meir Medical Center in the city for medical treatment after they allegedly drank water from a bottle in which detergent was left while they were staying at the daycare center.
A quick investigation conducted by the station’s investigators raised suspicion about one of the workers at the scene, a 28-year-old resident of the city who was detained for questioning at the police station in Kfar Saba. It should be noted that this is a Gefen daycare center in Hod Hasharon, a rehabilitation daycare center operated by the Chaims association on behalf of the Ministry of Welfare. The condition of the toddlers is easy and they are with their parents.
