Mumbai:

The ICC planned to hold the World Test Championship final every 2 years to increase the interest for Test matches among the fans.

India and New Zealand clashed in the final of the first World Test Championship. In this, the New Zealand team won the championship by defeating the Indian team.

The final of the next Test Championship series will be held in England in June. Teams are fighting hard to play in that tournament.

In the current points table, Australia is at the first position, South Africa is at the 2nd position, Sri Lanka is at the 3rd position, India is at the 4th position and Pakistan is at the 5th position.

Pakistan team was currently scheduled to play 3 Test matches against England and 2 Test matches against New Zealand at home.

In this case, as the Pakistan team lost in the first test match, the team has a problem in going to the final match of the test championship.

India’s chances of advancing to the finals have increased due to Pakistan’s defeat.

If the Indian team is to advance to the final of the Test Championship, they will first have to win the 2-match series against Bangladesh. After that, in the 4-match Test series at home in February, the Indian team will have a chance to reach the final even if they lose one match. This is considered as India’s advantage due to Pakistan’s defeat.
