Guinness World Record for Double Flyover, a rare sight in Nagpur city. Here three lanes are built one above the other. Wardha National Highway at the bottom. Above it is the flyover. Above that is the metro rail. Both these flyovers stand on a single pillar. Because it was built in this way, land acquisition and the cost, construction time, etc. were avoided.

The National Highways Authority and Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation got the Guinness World Record for constructing the longest double flyover on a single pillar. The double flyovers were constructed with a length of 3.14 km. Three metro stations are also within this distance – Chhatrapati Nagar, Jai Prakash Nagar and Ujjwal Nagar.

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had appreciated the National Highways Authority and Maharashtra Metro the other day. Gadkari said that the world record was obtained after being included in Asia Book Record and India Book Record. He added that he is very thankful to those who worked behind this achievement and it is a proud moment for the country.
