Anti-Semitic attacks in New York: An ultra-orthodox youth fell victim to air gun fire on Monday night in the heart of the Flatbush neighborhood.

This is the second attack of this kind against ultra-Orthodox in New York in the last two days.

According to a report in Yeshiva world news, the victim was shot in the neck, but under private supervision was not seriously injured. The incident occurred near East 18th Street and M Avenue.

NYPD investigators, alongside the Hate Crimes Task Force, are investigating the incident, while Flatbush Watch volunteers are scanning the security camera footage in the area to aid in the investigation.

The shooting came just a day after two Hasidic followers, a father and son, were hit by bullets fired from a passing sports car while standing outside a kosher supermarket on Staten Island.

It is not yet known if there is a connection between the two events.

The New York Police Department and Flatbush Guards have increased patrols in the area, in an effort to better protect the ultra-Orthodox residents.
