Australian captain Pat Cummins, who was injured in the first match, did not play in the 2nd Test. So Steve Smith takes the captaincy. Smith will return to lead the Australian team in the absence of Cummins’ injury, with Smith’s two-and-a-half-year ban from captaincy having ended in a ball-tampering case.
Scott Boland has been announced as the replacement for Pat Cummins. The 33-year-old Scott Boland has so far played 3 Tests for Australia and taken 18 wickets. Apart from Boland replacing Cummins, there will be no other changes to the Australian squad.
