While the price of gold has been fluctuating for the past few days, the price of ornamental gold rose by Rs 48 per sawan to Rs 40,128 as on Wednesday morning in Chennai. Gold rose by Rs 6 to Rs 5,016 per gram.
On the other hand, silver prices also increased slightly. The price of silver rose by Rs 20 paise to Rs 71 per gram and bullion silver rose by Rs 200 to Rs 71,000 per kg.
