Hardik Patel wins: In 2012, a huge protest was held in Gujarat demanding reservation for the Patel community. Hardik Patel from that community led the protest.

In 2017, he campaigned for the Congress. He officially joined the Congress in 2020. He joined the BJP last May. Contested from Viramgam constituency.

Hardik Patel won by securing 98,600 votes. Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kwarji got 47,000 votes and Congress candidate Lakkabhai got 42,400 votes.

Jadeja’s Wife Rivabha Wins: Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivabha contested the Jamnagar North constituency on behalf of the BJP in the Gujarat Assembly elections. Bibendra Singh from Congress and Karsan from Aam Aadmi Party contested against him.

During the election campaign, Rivaba’s family campaigned vigorously against him. Ravindra Jadeja’s sister Nayaba is the Jamnagar District Congress General Secretary. He and Jadeja’s father Anirut campaigned against Rivaba.

Overcoming stiff opposition, Rivaba won by 84,000 votes. Aam Aadmi Party candidate Karsan got 33,800 votes and Congress candidate Bibendra Singh got 22,800 votes.

BJP Wins Morbi Constituency:

On October 30, 141 people lost their lives when a suspension bridge collapsed in Morbi, Gujarat. More than 180 people were injured. This was seen as a setback for the ruling BJP.

However, in the Morbi assembly constituency, BJP candidate Gandhi Lal won by a landslide by securing 1.13 lakh votes. Congress candidate Jayantilal got only 52,000 votes and Aam Aadmi Party candidate Bhangraj got only 17,261 votes.

During the Morbi bridge accident, senior BJP leader Kandilal directly descended into the river and engaged in rescue operations. This photo went viral on social media. Political observers have said that this is the main reason for his success.
