Delhi: The High Command will decide the Chief Minister in Himachal Pradesh. It was decided in today’s legislative party meeting to leave the decision to the High Command. It is suggested that the Chief Minister will be chosen from the MLAs themselves. Dramatic scenes unfolded in the state today as Phevening claimed the post of Chief Minister.
Even before the victory of the Congress, which won a resounding victory in Himachal Pradesh, ends, the battle for the post of Chief Minister is on. It is in this situation that the crucial legislative party meeting was held today. 40 MLAs also participated in the meeting held in Shimla. The first phase of discussions on becoming the chief minister was held in the meeting today.
The meeting was attended by AICC observers Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel, Bhupinder Hooda and Rajiv Shukla. A resolution was passed in the meeting that the High Command should decide the Chief Minister. The names of former PCC president Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, who is in charge of the campaign, and Mukesh Agnihotri, the leader of the opposition, are being actively considered for the post of chief minister.
After that PCC president Pratibha Singh came forward with a claim today. Pratibha, the wife of late former Chief Minister Veerabhadra Singh, is stepping up the pressure citing her family background. Pratibha today openly stated that the success of Veerbhadra Singh’s name cannot be given to anyone else.

Pratibha will have to resign as an MP to become Chief Minister. The position of the High Command and Priyanka Gandhi in this regard is decisive. There is also a possibility of a move to persuade Pratibha by giving his son the post of Deputy Chief Minister. KC Venugopal said that the Chief Minister will be decided within two days. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge has also stated that the MLAs of the state will also be considered in selecting the Chief Minister of Himachal.
