The continuation of the adventures of our good old Titus and his Ultramarines friends made a short but remarkable appearance during Game Awards 2022, with a new gameplay trailer that had the gift of waking up our bleeding side of Xenos. Our dear Astartes, who has become a captain since his misadventures on Graia, seems to have known the Apotheosis Primaris in this second part which takes him to a new planet in the grip of a Tyrannide invasion. We were able to see some gameplay sequences from this highly anticipated release and we can tell you one thing, space cockroaches better watch out.

If you’ve never played the first Warhammer 40K: Spacemarine, know that it is a third-person shooter action game. You play as Titus, a captain of the prestigious order of the Ultramarines. Besides, note that Titus has taken a bit of age and experience in this second opus. He even went through the Primaris mill, a deserved progression for this ball of muscle, testosterone and abnegation, an average Astartes in short. We still know very little about Spacemarine 2 on the scenario side, but we know a little more on the gameplay side. It will be a third-person shooter, where Titus and his merry friends will try to overcome the most infamous Xenos in the Galaxy: the Tyrannides. All this under the amazed eyes of the few members of the Imperial Guard of Cadia who have not yet been turned into snacks for giant insects. In short, a Space Marines versus Space-Scarabs fight that will undoubtedly satisfy any fan of the 40K universe.
What is the release date for Spacemarine 2?
As of now, no official release date has yet been confirmed by Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment apart from a wide release window: 2023. The game is still in development and will be exclusively for new generation hardware, so only available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Space Marine 2 is a game to watch. Indeed the universe of 40K has an unrivaled propensity to provide epic contexts and stories. And this new release could well be both the great masterpiece that fans have been waiting for for ages and a gateway for neophytes into the dark and sinister universe of the 41st millennium. And even if the Ultramarines are a bit fed up with it, we wish it with all our hearts.
