The driver who ran over two Israelis in Britain was sentenced to 16 years in prison

The UK court sentenced Nitish Bisandri, the driver who ran over 78-year-old Prof. Yoram Hirschfeld, and his 40-year-old daughter Nega Sela Hirschfeld, in the city of Ramsgate in Kent County, to 16 years in prison. Nega’s six-year-old daughter was seriously injured in the accident, her husband and their eight-year-old son were slightly injured.

30-year-old Bisandri was under the influence of cocaine when he lost control of his vehicle, when he crashed into a family walking near the parking lot. Bisandri was later arrested at the hospital on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and fleeing the scene of the accident, did not admit responsibility for the incident and claimed that he did not notice that he had hit anyone.
