The Saudi Ministry of Labor has directed that the employment contracts of all workers, regardless of whether they are natives or foreigners, should be registered online. The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has reminded that employment contracts must be recorded through the Khiva platform. Not only those of expatriates, but also contracts with Saudi workers must be registered on the Khiva portal. This results in the Ministry being responsible for managing the relationship between the employee and the employer from the conclusion of the employment contract to the termination of the contract.

The new order of the Ministry is as per the instructions of the Saudi Cabinet. The ministry also pointed out that once the employment contract is registered on the Khiva portal, it will be linked with social insurance.
