A video of Madhya Pradesh senior Congress leader and former state minister Raja Bhatheria talking to Congress party workers has been released. In it, he mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be killed if the Constitution of India is to be saved. Also, in the same video, he explained that he said that he wanted to kill Modi to bring him down. However, his reference to murder has now sparked controversy.
Senior BJP leaders have been demanding the arrest of Raja Bhatheria. Apart from that, the Madhya Pradesh government has ordered the police to register a case against him. The Union Minister opined that the Congress leader’s comments about Modi are an unforgivable crime. Moreover, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has accused Rahul Gandhi that the true face of Bharat Jodo Yatra being carried out by Rahul Gandhi is coming out only because of such actions.

In that controversial video which is going viral, he said, “Modi is going to destroy the election altogether. Modi will divide people on the basis of religion, caste, language. The lives of Dalits, tribals and minorities are at risk. Be ready to kill Modi if the Constitution is to be saved.” In the same video, he also explained that “Be ready to kill” means “Be ready to defeat”.

He further explained that he was a follower of Mahatma Gandhi’s policy of non-violence and that he said so to protect the minorities to defeat Prime Minister Modi in the elections. Raja Bhatheria had spoken in Powai town in Panna district. That video went viral.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Home Minister Narottam Mishra and Union Minister Prakalat Venkatesh Joshi have condemned the video of Raja Pateria. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “Prime Minister Modi lives in the hearts of the people, he is the center of admiration and faith of the entire country.
Congress cannot face PM in electoral war. A Congress leader has talked about killing him. It is the height of jealousy, extreme hatred. The real intention of the Congress is revealed. But such things cannot be tolerated. A case has been registered against him,” he said.
