A new movement is trying to get Israelis to leave the country

A new movement called “Leaving the Land – Together” arose this week with the aim of getting tens of thousands of Israelis to leave the country, following the results of the recent elections. The members of the movement help Jews who want to find their place in the USA, and even established a “kibbutz” in New Jersey in order to get more Israelis to leave the country

The surprising reactions to the rise of the right wing to power following the results of the recent elections give rise to interesting events, which were joined this week by another one: the establishment of a new organization, whose purpose is to help Jews leave the country and immigrate to the USA, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The movement, “Leaving the Land – Together”, is trying as a primary goal to help about 10,000 Israelis who are disappointed with the election results to leave the country and immigrate to the USA and even to other countries. One of its leaders, Moti Kahana, tweeted: “After years of smuggling Jews from war zones in Yemen , Afghanistan, Syria and Ukraine to Israel, I decided to help Israelis move to the USA.”

Kahana, an American-Jewish activist in the group that ran for the World Zionist Congress, also wrote that the members of his movement, the members of the Israeli-American Party, “thought I was a bit extreme. I told them it was time to offer the Zionist movement an alternative in case the situation in Israel continues to worsen. I do not wish for our country to be destroyed , but what will happen if it is destroyed?”.

“I see great brotherly hatred and I see the Iranians with the precision missiles aimed at Israel. Two thousand years ago it was exactly the same,” he continued to write.

Kahana explained that he received dozens of requests from Israelis who want his help in emigrating from the country. He decided to join them in their cause, and help them as much as he could. “I have a huge farm in New Jersey and I offered the Israelis to join in order to turn my farm into a kibbutz,” he said.

Kahana decided to establish the movement mainly following the resurgence of the right-wing to power. “With such a government in Israel, the American government should allow every Israeli who owns a company or has a sought-after profession in the US, such as doctors and pilots, to immigrate to the US,” he wrote.

As a first step, the leaders of the movement opened groups on social media platforms, which are joined by those who wish to leave the country. At the moment only hundreds of people are present in the groups, but the leaders of the movement hope and expect it to grow.
