Kabul: Shooting at a hotel where Chinese businessmen live in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Kabul police said that three assailants were killed and one captured in a clash with Taliban security forces.
The police stated that everyone in the hotel was rescued and no foreigners were killed. Meanwhile, the police informed that two foreigners who tried to escape by jumping through the window of the hotel were injured.
Yesterday, an armed group attacked Kabul Longan Hotel in Shahr-e-Naw area. No one claimed responsibility for the attack. Many people who come to Afghanistan from China choose this hotel to stay.
Witnesses say they heard several gunshots and explosions coming from the hotel. The security forces of the Taliban, who came to know of the information, barred entry into the area. Video footage of smoke billowing from the hotel was also released.
