The players ‘mini’ auction for the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament will be held in Kochi on 23rd.

According to the information provided by BCCI Secretary Jai Shah, 405 players will participate in the auction for a total of 87 places. Out of which 273 are from Po India; 132 are foreigners. Out of those 132, four are from the ICC’s sub-member countries.

While 119 of the total players have already seen the field, 286 are debutants. Out of total 87 seats, 30 seats are reserved for foreign players.

The youngest player participating in the auction is Afghanistan’s Paul Allah Mohammad Ghazanf (15). That is, India’s Amit Mishra (40) will be the oldest player. The minimum price for the players in the auction has been fixed at Rs.20 lakh and the maximum price is Rs.2 crore.
