No more Henry Cavill to be Superman. Henry Cavill himself announced the sad news through Instagram. Henry says the decision was made after discussions with DC Films executives James Gunn and Peter Safran. “Discussions with James Gunn and Peter Safran are now over. There is sad news for everyone. After all…I’m not coming back as Superman” – Henry Cavill wrote on Instagram.
“The studio itself had announced my comeback in October. So this news makes me cringe. But such is life. I accept their decision. James and Peter have to create a new universe. I wish them and everyone associated with the film all the best. To the people who stood by me, Superman is still with you. The examples and attitudes he created will always be there,” says Henry.
“My turn to wear the cape is over..this up and down ride with you has been fun.”-Henry Cavill concludes the note. Fans of Superman and Henry Cavill have been very excited recently. Henry Cavill appeared as Superman in the climax of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. It remains to be seen who will be the next Superman when Henry takes off the red cape.
