Ecto Life is a biotechnology company headquartered in Berlin. It is this company that introduces the world’s first artificial womb method of creating a baby. The agency claims that 30,000 babies a year can be created with artificially created wombs that look like women’s wombs. Each of these artificial womb boxes is equipped with sensors that monitor the baby’s vital signs including heart rate, temperature, blood pressure and breathing. According to EctoLife, this will greatly help countries such as Japan, Bulgaria and South Korea, where the population continues to decline, and artificial insemination can be a solution for women who lose their uterus due to cancer and other physical problems.
