by time news

Locals have wrapped up a crocodile that swallowed two dogs alive in Savagacheri, Jaffna. The crocodile is said to be eight feet long.

An eight-foot-long crocodile that entered a guest house under the Shiva temple in Savagacheri on Wednesday night swallowed two dogs and left them lying motionless.

The dogs are missing

In the morning, when the hotel staff searched for the missing dogs, they found a crocodile sleeping in the hotel premises.

Later, with the help of the neighbours, they caught the crocodile alive and tied it to a tree. They informed the wildlife protection department about this. They came to the spot and rescued the crocodile.

Last month too, a crocodile was found inside a residential area in the Savagacherry educational area.
