The said person was abducted and was seriously injured and was rescued from near the Boralai Cemetery yesterday evening, Thursday, and died at the Colombo National Hospital.

He had left his house in Malpara area of ​​Kurunduwat after telling his wife that he was going to meet a person who would give him a loan of several crores of rupees.

Even though he did not return home for a long time, his wife could not reach his phone when he called her.

His wife found out that his phone was near the cemetery based on the signals received through the phone.

Suspicious of this, his wife told an executive officer of the company and sent him to the Borela cemetery.

At that time, he observed that the hands of the kidnapped person were tied on the driver’s seat of the car and a wire was lying around his neck. The executive officer who acted immediately, with the help of the worker at the cemetery, removed the hands and the wire from the neck of the abducted person and admitted him to the Colombo National Hospital.

He died last Thursday night while receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of the Colombo National Hospital.

A senior police officer said that a famous cricket commentator has received a loan of several crores of rupees from him and in this regard the Janashakti Group Chairman has made 03 complaints to the Criminal Investigation Department.
