The Tamil Nadu government has issued an ordinance allocating Rs.115 crores to construct 10 new bus stations in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Government has taken steps to set up new bus stands in 2 Municipal Corporations and 8 Municipalities.

Accordingly, in Tirupur Rs. 26 crore and in Hosur Rs. It has been decided to construct new bus stations at a cost of 30 crores. An ordinance has been issued to set up new bus stands in 8 municipalities including Ariyalur, Vedaranyam, Melur, Pattukottai, Kulachal, Pollachi.

Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department will construct new bus stands with infrastructure and facilities in Tirupur and Hosur Municipal Corporations. Administrative permission has been given to Kudalur (T), Ariyalur, Vadalur, Vedaranyam, Mellur, Pattukottai, Kolachal and Pollachi municipalities.
