The actor who plays Superman revealed that following a meeting with the studio’s new executives, he realized that the production company had other plans for the role, and that meant his path had come to an end. It was only a few months ago when actor Henry Cavill announced to his fans that he was returning to portray the character of Superman. Now, he withdraws from the trouble, and says otherwise. The reason? The production company has other plans, and apparently they don’t include him.
“I had a meeting with the production company recently, and I have some sad news. After all, I will not be returning to play Superman, this after I was asked to return to the role last October. It’s not easy for me, but that’s life. Shift changes are something that happens, and I respect that,” he wrote.
He also added that he understands the fans who are sad about the decision and wrote: “Superman is still here. While my opportunity to don the cape has passed, what Superman represents will never pass. It was a fun journey, and it’s time to move on,” he concluded.
Of course, the actor’s post soon received hundreds of thousands of likes and comments, with many fans asking to express their support. Now, we have to wait for the studios to reveal who will replace Cavill and step into his shoes, and become the next Superman.
