Randal Kolo Muani was born in Bondy, in Seine-Saint-Denis in December 1998, but he grew up in Villepinte where he played in the local club before joining FC Nantes at 16. “Unlike the prodigy of the Blues, Kylian Mbappé, Randal Kolo Muani has never played at AS Bondy”, specifies Arnaud Detout.
Called at the last minute by Deschamps
After three years with FC Nantes and winning the Coupe de France, the footballer is trying his luck abroad and signing for Eintracht Frankfurt in 2021. Called up at the last minute by Didier Deschamps after Christopher Nkunku, Randal Kolo Muani is “the surprise guest of the Blues”.
Before the semi-final, the young sportsman had participated in only one match, the one against Tunisia. “This goal allowed him to gain a rather incredible peak of notoriety, and to pass a course within the France team”, according to Arnaud Detout.
