Produced by Mammootty’s production company Mammootty Company, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and starring Mammootty in the lead role, ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ will hit the theaters soon. The first screening of the film was held at the Kerala International Film Festival in Thiruvananthapuram.
The police intervened in the conflict that broke out at the Vashuthakkad Tagore Theater premises where the exhibition was held. The museum police registered a case against around 30 people who were seen, including two young men and a young woman. Charges of illegal assembly and rioting were charged against them.
The FIR states that the protesters tried to force their way into the Tagore Theater office without a delegate pass or sufficient documents. It is stated in the FIR that despite being asked by the police to leave, they did not cooperate and protested by sitting and then the three accused were forcibly arrested and taken away.
Actor Ashoka played another important role in the film which is set in Tamil Nadu. The cinematography is done by Theni Ishwar, who handled the camera for Peranp, Karnan and Pushu. This is the film that Lijo prepares after Suruli.
