Sivagangai: The teachers have expressed their displeasure with the education commissioner’s order to correct and issue the half-yearly exam answer sheets immediately.
Dec. in all schools. 16th half term exam has started. Especially for the students of class 10th and Plus 2 who are going to appear for the government general examination, the half-yearly examination should be conducted like the examination. The Education Commissioner has ordered the teachers to immediately evaluate the answer sheets and submit the pass details to the respective district education officers by December 24.
This order has caused dissatisfaction among the teachers. State General Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary School Graduate Teachers’ Association S. Sethuselvam said:
The half-yearly exam starts on 16th Dec and ends on 23rd only. Language teachers can correct it during this period. How teachers can correct and issue the answer sheet of the course on Dec 23 in one day. Also, with Christmas and New Year coming up, teachers will find it difficult to celebrate the festivities. Therefore, time should be given for correcting the answer sheet, he said.
