The India Meteorological Department has informed that a low pressure area is prevailing over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas.
It is also said that there is a possibility of heavy rain due to the low pressure area.
As a result of this, the India Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of heavy rain in a couple of places in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu on December 20 and 21.
It is also said that the low pressure area will move towards the South Bay of Bengal in the next 48 hours.
