Dublin, Bono of U2 sings “Desire” in a pub with a beer in hand – Corriere TV

(LaPresse) – Pre-Christmas party for Bono of U2 in a pub in the center of Dublin, the McDaid’s. The lead singer of the Irish band improvised some songs accompanied by songwriter Glen Hansard (winner of the 2008 Academy Award for Best Original Song, ‘Falling Slowly’ from the film ‘Once’), who played guitar and sang with the fellow citizen on the notes of U2’s ‘Desire’. Guinness in hand, Bono sent the lucky ones present into raptures. The video was posted on Instagram by Trevor Dietz, manager of another band from the capital, Fontaines DC. Every year Bono shows up on Grafton Street, the shopping street in Dublin, for the traditional Christmas Eve busking, i.e. a collective acoustic performance on the street by Irish musicians for charity, organized by Hansard himself and the evening at the pub would be part of a TV special about the event.
