The American Department of Justice announced today (Saturday) that it accuses Alexei Breiman, an Israeli living in the United States, of attempting to smuggle equipment to the Russian military and violating American sanctions. Along with Breiman, six other suspects were charged – five Russian citizens and an American citizen.

In “Wala!” It was reported that the indictment alleged that Breiman and the other defendants were in contact with Russian companies that worked with the Russian Federal Security Service. According to the suspicion, the seven sold and smuggled sensitive military electronic equipment, including weapons and ammunition. In addition, it was suspected that some of the smuggled equipment was used to manufacture nuclear weapons.

The indictment states that Breiman and his wife Daria used their online art store as a cover for smuggling the prohibited equipment into Russia. According to the suspicion, Breiman would send the smuggled equipment to Estonia, and at the same time he would create fake invoices and shipping documents, so that it would appear that the packages were sent as part of the art materials store.
