Britney Spears faced a huge storm that happened last year, after she was released from her guardian father, when she was under his custody for no less than 13 until, as mentioned, she was released from his custody after a very persistent and long battle in court.
So far, neither side has talked about the issue with the media, with Spears speaking out a lot on the issue, but only on social media. Now her father, 70-year-old Janey Spears, has spoken to The Daily Mail for the first time and has had a long silence.
Spears claimed: “Not everyone will agree with me. It was a difficult time, but I love my daughter with all my heart and soul. Where would Britney be today without the guardianship? I don’t know if she would be alive. I don’t know,” he says and adds: “The guardianship was A great tool to protect her and the kids. Without it, I don’t think she would have gotten them back.”

He also told about the past: “We used to take the children to Europe. They spent a lot with their mother and also with their father. Not many know that. The main goal was to give Britney back the possibility of having a good relationship with her children. I just did what I had to, Or what I felt I had to do. I didn’t decide anything on my own, Kevin and I made decisions together. A lot of things happened in his life then.”
In his opinion, he claims that he was the one who improved Britney’s financial situation: “She was impoverished, she had no money at all. The guardianship built sources thanks to which she recovered financially. We worked, and she worked, to do that. The guardianship helped improve the financial situation. As far as I understand , the purpose of guardianship is to help someone regain control of their life and help them return to society and maintain a normal lifestyle. I believe that I made a difference, that I and a few other people were able to help her.”
About the fact that Britney said he took away her freedom, he said: “Most people have no idea what the truth is. Her lawyer has no idea. The media didn’t hear the truth, they only heard Britney’s accusations. I don’t mind absorbing the attacks because I know they’re not Willingness and because I don’t want to start it over, my daughter will end up in an even worse situation than she was in.”
